-As a follow up on my previous project "Himmerlandsmelodier" (tunes fromHimmerland, Tutl.com/SHD098) ,- I have worked on the material leading to FORNEMMELSER during the years that passed on since.

After accept of participation from a number of colleges/musicians that I have worked and toured with in different bands and projects + a few new collaborators, I was ready to start the process in late 2013.

The first accept from my anker person on the project , pianist, arranger and composer Peter Rosendal, really set the process to start, and after sending the music scores to him and after some waiting to hear back from Peter, - I booked the actual studio dates at musician, composer and producer Torben Sminge’s studio in Odense.

The team that finaly confirmed being a part of the project became :

Peter has done a great work on the arrangements of the music; - Karen Tweed (http://www.karentweed.com/) , -I’ve known Karen for many years and had the great pleasure also to tour with her by the first line up for the band FAERD (http://www.folkworld.de/40/e/faerd.html), 2003 -2004; We Released the cd: FAERD (Tutl.com/SHD55) ; - Ditte Fromseier (http://www.fromseierhockings.com/) , I play and tour world wide with Ditte in the band HIMMERLAND, now since 2008 (www.himmerland.it) ; - Pierre Dørge (http://www.newjungleorchestra.com/) I was honored to tour and play with Pierre and he’s wife Irene in the band "Faerd, Dørge, Becker & Hjetland", (http://www.tutl.com/index.php?id=39) during a couple of years and we released the cd KRYSS (Tutl.com/SHD86) ; - Jens Ulvsand (www.myspace.com/jensulvsand) Jens, fiddler Peter Uhrbrand and I toured worldwide and worked close together in FAERD from 2004 up to 2011; - Jens Krøgholt(http://www.duolog.dk/) Jens plays bass on high level in Odense Symfonic Orchestra and lives in Aalborg , not far from me. We have settled a great friend ship since we jumped into each other not so many years ago ; - Ayi Solomon (www.myspace.com/ayisolomon) Solomon and I play and tour with Himmerland all over the place, - from my first meeting with Ayi, when he first came to our local club, Halkaer kro, many years ago witth Pierre Dørge’s New JungleOrchestra, I knew that we would have to work together in the future – and we certainly did ! ; - Torben Sminge (http://www.torbensminge.dk/) My first meeting ever with Torben came when I started recording“Fornemmelser” – It has been a great plessure so far to work with Torben, a great technician, producer, composer and musician !

The material generally comes from my hand as a composer, when things happens in my life, or as based on general events as fx.l “The Seasons” . Often I just put down a few scores in a certain situation, for to come back to it at a later situation. The final scores often ends as a combination of several ideas over time. -In the further process, the cooperation with and between the actual participating musicians, is decisive for the final result. First of all the arrangements, in which Peter Rosendal has been very central this time, but next during the rehearsals and finally while recording in the studio, - new ideas, inputs, colourings and rearranging elements flows in and out on our ways to what it finaly ended up with. – I am highly thankfull and full of pleasure to "my" musicans on the project and for the time we spend together creating FORNEMMELSER !
