I've always loved listening to it: my first CD was Prince's "Sign o' the Times", which I bought with my sister Cecilia. I had one of those CD 10s by Phillips, the first portable reader that came out. It weighed a ton, but it was very cool and somehow to this day still works! Since then I have listened to pretty much everything, staying as far away as possible from "club culture". When I was about seventeen I started spinning my first records, mostly rap. I had a huge basement where I started setting up house parties. One of the best times was Halloween '94, where I remember spinning my first half hour of vinyl. In time my tastes changed and I started getting into dance music. This was when the "in" thing to do was to celebrate your eighteenth birthday party at a club, at a friends' house, in a restaurant, wherever. And that's pretty much what I did. A lot of time has passed since then, and I've had the chance to play all over Italy and abroad, with a bunch of friends that I grew up with. Pretty neat. A few years ago I realized that I was not going to be a DJ when I grew up. Not because I didn't want to, or because I wasn't any good at it, but because I wanted this hobby of mine to remain just that, without having to conform to the pressures of the biz. Now I try and fit a gig here and there around my work schedule, taking every chance I can get to travel and spin a few records!

IT - Non posso definirmi un Deejay professionista, mancherei di rispetto alla “categoria”, però se si tratta di musica mi so difendere. Ho sempre amato ascoltarla. Il mio primo cd acquistato è stato Sign 'O' The Times di Prince in partnership con mia sorella Cecilia, dopo aver ricevuto in regalo il CD 10 della Philips, il primo lettore cd portatile, che pesava una cifra, ma era molto cool e fra l’altro funziona ancora. Da lì in poi ho imparato ad ascoltare di tutto, tenendomi ben lontano però da tutto ciò che fosse club culture. Verso i diciassette ho avuto l'illuminazione e ho iniziato a far girare i primi dischi, rigorosamente rap. Avevo la fortuna di avere un grande magazzino sotto casa che è diventato la mia base logistica per una serie di party, organizzati inizialmente alla buona, poi con interventi sempre più mirati. Una delle feste meglio riuscite è stata quella di Halloween del '94 e forse proprio lì ho messo la mia prima mezz’ora di dischi. Con il tempo i miei gusti sono cambiati e mi sono avvicinato alla musica "unz-unz". Era il periodo in cui andava di moda festeggiare i 18 anni in giro per locali, bar, ristoranti, case e con un gruppo di amici ho iniziato a muovermi anch’io. Così da studente e quindi con molto tempo libero, ho cominciato a suonare in vari locali della zona. Da allora ad oggi è passato molto tempo, ho avuto la fortuna e la possibilità di suonare molto in Italia e all'estero, di organizzare feste con amici con cui sono cresciuto, togliendomi tante soddisfazioni. Qualche anno fa ho capito che da grande non avrei comunque fatto il deejay, non perché mancasse la voglia, quella mai, o la capacità, ma solo ed unicamente perché volevo che questa mia passione rimanesse tale, in modo da non dover sottostare alle regole dello show business. Oggi fra un impegno di lavoro e l'altro, quando riesco, non mi lascio sfuggire la possibilità di girare... girando dischi!
