Orfeus Records, a Canadian independent World music label presents El KadySami, a duo of authors-composers, singers and musicians.
Their repertoire is an inspiring collection of Classical World Jazz Fusion rhythms and songs, enriched by diverse poetic languages.In 2000, Ricardo Pellegrin El Kady and Sami have received thegold medal as best authors-composers for the "World music"category at the great international contest "SONG EXPO Benelux International music & culture festival" in the Netherlands among more than 1000 participants from 57 countries.
Dec. 07: nomination of the duo as "Gold Artist". This great musical Award is granted by one of the most important satellite radios RadioIndy.com in the USA-LA-California.
April 08: the duo El KadySami received an "Honorable Mention" Award from "Song of the Year" USA –LA-California.
July 08: The duo is part of MTV's Soundtrack community.
Sept. 08: El KadySami are Semi-finalists at the UK Songwriting Contest 2008, with 3 songs:“Ilha dos Amores” “Stand by your Dream” “A Quiet Place” and 2 songs are received as "Commended entries": "I'll Show You" and "Walk Together".
Oct. 08: "Honorable Mention" from the "15th Annual Billboard World Songwriting Contest" - USA.
May 09: World Top 20 Finalist at the "12th Annual Unisong International Songwriting Contest" – USA-LA-California - with the song "Ilha Dos Amores". Certificate of Achievementawarded to author-composer El Kady.
August 09: Selected * Award winning INDIE Station, INDIE104~iRADIO LA. .
Nov. 09: * Top 10 Up and Coming at NuMuBu.
Feb. 2010: The duo El KadySami is now part of Classical Music Discoveries, the No 1 Classical Music Internet Radio Show in the world.
