ED HUDSON BAND are a Classic rock covers band playing round London and Surrey.
Ed Hudson-guitars/lead vocals.
Ed played in several bands in his native Cumbria before moving to London in 1992 (notably "BELFAGAN"). In London he toured and recorded with many bands including "GOOD COMPANY", "THE FLAME TATTOO", "RED ROAD" and "THREE STATE BLUES" through out the 1990's, gaining a wealth of experience. By 2002 he joined "BAD II THE BONE" as lead singer and guitarist, a very busy gigging 4 piece rock band. By the end of 2007 Ed had formed Ed Hudson Band as a power trio, including bass player and vocalist Pete Armatage from THREE STATE BLUES.
Pete Armatage-bass/vocals.
Pete started his musical career in the 1970's playing bass with bands such as "WOLFIE WITCHER'S BREW", "ZEUS", "NATIONAL FLAG" and "DUMPYS DIRT BAND" (who later became Rusty Nuts). A lifelong music fan he was at key events such as The Rolling Stones in Hyde park 1969. He also undertook an ill fated 3 month trip to Greece in the early 70's to play with Vic Martin (Gary Moore Band) returning pennyless! Pete was lead vocalist and bass player in "THREE STATE BLUES" with Ed playing drums in the band. With Kevin Inglis (guitar) they recorded 2 studio albums and established a very successful jam session in Kingston, Surrey.
Stu Emms-drums.
Ed and Pete first met Stu at their Kingston jam sessions where he was establishing himself as the drummer of choice. When EHB's original drummer Kev Parker returned to his native Scotland in 2009, Stu got the call to replace him. Stu is originally from the North East and played with many bands there before moving to London. He successfully auditioned with "THE TOY DOLLS" (an established punk band) but declined the opportunity to work with them after they informed him that, at gigs, they would all be spat at!
