The Berlin dJ and producer DjB.Side is an expert when it comes to hip hop, funk and reggae / dancehall. He´s got his roots in funk/soul and rare groove, but he also makes excursions towards breaks, drum & bass and dubstep / trap. DJ B.Side had several shows on various german radio stations such as "Coke dj-culture on air" on BigFM, 89.0 RTL and JamFM.

In 1994, he started his production career and founded Mellowbag a popular german hip hop project with 2mc´s and a singer. They published two albums and several 12“es. The Mellowbag single "Tabula Rasa" with Freundeskreis and Gentleman was their biggest success and remained for more than two months in the german sales charts. As a remixer B.Side was responsible for productions for Cappadonna (Wu-Tang Clan), the Brothers Keepers, Rockers Hifi and many more.

As a tour and band DJ, he looks back on a well-known story: In addition to his own band, he toured as a band DJ with Guru's Jazzmatazz and the New York based hip hop group Bush Babees, as well as support for the likes of DJ Premier, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Busta Rhymes, Jungle Brothers, The Beatnuts, Grandmaster Flash and many more. He also played the most important German festivals like Splash, Chiemsee Reggae Summer, Rock am Ring and Rock im Park pleasing the crowd with his style-crossing sets together with his host, the Berlin MC Dr. Peppsta.

In Berlin B.Side was spinning at all important "black" clubs like 2be Club, Bohannon, Calabash, Yaam, Watergate, Casino, Boogaloo, Cassiopeia, Baambi lounge, Cookies, WMF, BarTausend, Festsaal Kreuzberg and many more. Between his club and touring activities,he produced music for various commercials, and composed the full score as well as the major part of the soundtrack for Till Hastreiter´s succeful hip-hop film "Status Yo!", which premiered 2004 at the Berlinale, the german Oscars, and generated lots of enthusiasm.

B.Side´s newest pseudonym is Finnley Bass which he is using for his new producer project. He´s working on an album at the moment creating his new sound, a mix of hip hop, trip hop, breaks, dubstep, trap, jazz and more.
