Berlin-based DJ Thomas Gold began releasing progressive house records in 2006, dropping the collaborative Paintbootiqa EP on the Mauritius label with his cohort, DJ Björn Mandry, sharing the credit.
A number of 12" releases on Haiti Groove Recordings, Ministry of Sound, and other like-minded labels followed, taking Gold up to 2010 and the high-powered gig of remixing Fatboy Slim's "Star 69" single for the Skint label. In 2012, the satellite radio network SiriusXM began airing Gold's mix show, Fanfare. ~ David Jeffries
