The Dilettantes are fronted by mutton-chopped tambourine player Joel Gion, better known as one of the longest-lasting members of psychedelic rock & roll band the Brian Jonestown Massacre.
The Dilettantes, whose sound strays little from BJM, is rounded out by guitarists Jefferson Parker and Brock Galland, drummer KC Kozak and bassist Nick Marcantonio. The debut album arrived in the form of 101 Tambourines in summer 2007. ~ Kenyon Hopkin
