"All of my writing comes from personal experiences. Having a reason to write is the core of creating of a great song. It’s not just the lyrics and chords, but how the song is presented to the listener and how it can relate to their personal experiences. I never could just ‘write to write’; it had to be a feeling or a notion of some sort. I do not know if that is a positive or a negative in the songwriters’ creed, but personally it has worked in my favor thus far." -David Grace
