Take a thousand miles of lonesome, desert highway, seven hundred pounds of American chrome and steel, and a spirit more free than a midwest praire wind.......
Throw in a little heartache, a penchant for the plight of the working man and the disenfranchised, and you have the inspiration for Dave Reader's latest album, "ROADS". The Calgary based singer-songwriter has crafted a very personal yet accessible work, centered around themes, dealing mostly with the darker issues of the heart, while subtly embracing hope, freedom and redemption.

With songs ranging from broken hearted, lost love ballads to freedom of the open road rockers, this eclectic mix will hit home with any blue collar "workin' Joe" who has lived, loved, lost and come out the other side with enough left to "wrap his legs around a big V-twin" and leave it all behind.

Solid song writing and expert musicianship provide the backdrop for Reader's raw, gravel edged vocals which seem to evoke the dusty, pain drenched soul of one who has lived every word. These songs of love, loss, hope, sin and redemption leave the listener feeling as though he has walked a mile in the shoes of every broke down soul, on the road of life.
