By studying and learning the essentials of technology, traditional music composition, and performance I have experience utilizing avariety techniques and methodologies in education.
During my undergraduate years, I studied thefoundations and structures of both classical and jazz repertoire and theory, and performed in symphonic bands, pit orchestras, union bands, funk and jazzbands in concert halls and clubs. Then I began my graduate studies in studiocomposition at Purchase Conservatory as a graduate assistant where I taughttheory classes and presented seminars in film music. At the Tarrytown MusicHall I also had a unique opportunity to work with legendary artists such asChuck Mangione, Tito Puente and Dave Brubeck.

In 1998, I moved to New York University to study musictechnology and began producing, performing, and engineering commercials forCBS, NBC, Showtime, Lifetime, Wendy's, Hertz, and the PGA Tour campaigns; Ialso freelanced for Village Records, 4 Kids Productions and independent filmprojects. In 2002, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in theentertainment industry and continued composing and engineering on networkcartoons such as Kirby, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Sonic X, Ultimate Muscle, and Ultra Man Mantiga. I also worked as a marketing manager for Film MusicMagazine and I had the rare opportunity to work with Lalo Shifrin and ElmerBernstein.

About 10 years ago my vocational interest changed fromthe entertainment industry to youth advocacy. What began as a volunteer missionto serve the homeless, I soon continued my outreach to include helpingincarcerated juveniles as a counselor and intervention specialist. Myexperience in counseling teenagers soon gravitated toward teaching K-12 musicfor underprivileged youth in inner-city charter schools.

I am looking to secure a position where my talents, expertise, and achievements can be utilized to help students academically in anenvironment where I can grow as a musician.
