Over the course of two studio albums Daniel Pearson has established himself as a singular new talent in the indie rock landscape.
Equally capable of crafting beautiful acoustic laments and hook-laden folk-rock anthems, Pearson's timeless songs deliver the elusive emotional connection and honesty that only an instinctively great songwriter can provide. Already a veteran of rock n' roll and punk bands by his mid-twenties, he had toured up and down the UK and released various singles and EPS before going solo in 2010. After deciding to maintain his artistic independence away from the machinations of a larger label, he is also a very successful example of the new music industry - one that maintains control over every aspect of his career, interacts regularly with a growing fanbase and has received press and radio plaudits in the UK, Europe, Australia and the USA.His debut album Satellites (2012) received great press for his songwriting ability and vocal talent, and saw him draw many comparisons to a young Ryan Adams and Bob Dylan. Writers for Uncut Magazine, R2 Magazine, Shout 4 Music, Americana UK, Leeds Music Scene and Drowned In Sound provided a string of impressive reviews and were quick to celebrate the arrival of a new talent. The album received repeated radio support from BBC 6Music, XFM, Amazing Radio, Q Radio and BBC Introducing in the UK, and his songs also found themselves on the airwaves of Australian national radio station Triple J.

Mercury State is Pearson's second album. The stripped back, recession-confronting collection of songs has already received rave reviews around the world (including Uncut Magazine, PopMatters, No Depression, Shout 4 Music, Louder Than War, Sabotage Times, For Folks Sake and many more ) and has seen him proclaimed the latest in a line of socially-conscious singer-songwiters like Bruce Springsteen, Billy Bragg and Neil Young.

A compelling live performer, Pearson has shared a stage with acts like Michael Kiwanuka, One Night Only, The Bluetones, Lucy Rose, Willy Mason and Josephine in the UK as well as playing a string of headline dates of his own. He has also toured in the USA, where he brought his songs to audiences in Knoxville, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Memphis, Nashville, New York and Washington.

Daniel Pearson is a genuine talent built for the long haul with a real connection with his fans. In an age of instant stardom, talent shows and endless media hyperbole, he is proving that great songwriting and hard work can still lead to success and recognition.
