Born Daniel Richy James Marshall van der Vegte on 1.
11.1993 in Burkina Faso, Westafrica.

As a son of an afroamerican father and a cherokee-irish mother his childhood wasn't as easy as the most of you might think.

Until he was 12 years old he looked like a black icebox salesman.

He got his first guitar 12 hours after his birth, it was a Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan Signature Stratocaster from 1748. Soon he learned the first essential blues licks and G-minor9 sweep techniques from his kindergarten teacher Guthrie Govan who earLy discovered the talent of this young guy.

When he was 16 his parents wanted him to inherit the ice cream parlor of his dad, but Daniel had bigger plans, since he was 6 days old he wanted to be the best afroamerican guitar player and singer in the world.

As he realized that he couldn't reach this goal with his dark brown skin color he asked Michael Jackson to bleach their skin together, because in those years a couple-therapy was cheaper than a single-therapy. After this surgery Michael asked Daniel to participate in his band. Because Marc Buhr wrote Michaels songs at this time Daniel and Marc got to know each other and started writing songs together. In winter 2010 earL was born, an innovative and explosive music-project from Van der Vegte and Buhr, together with Marek Neichel as Bass Player and Julian Georg on the drums.

In 2009 the New York Times announced that Daniel van der Vegte is the grandchild of Jimi Hendrix, which was verified by a DNA-comparison of their pubic hair.
