Time to Blog finally. What a year 2013 was! Decided at the beginning of that year that I would take up playing bass again since I couldn't find the right people as a guitarist. Within the month of Feb, I had joined Caste Of Shadows and stayed with them till Nov. unfortunately, they weren't progressing enough for me and I was still itching to play guitar and shred. By April last year as well, I found myself playing bass in Damage Inc, a Metallica Tribute band to which I'm still with. Doing double duty, I played gigs with both bands throughout 2013 having done about a dozen gigs.
As 2013 was closing out, I was itching to get shredding and picked up an ESP KH-2 for an insanely cheap price through the local Long & McQuade. I've been shredding, practicing an average of 15 hours per week since. Loving it so much.
So what's in store for me in 2014? Well, I've restarted writing for my solo album again to which I see myself in the studio by early-mid 2015. Not fully instrumental as I plan to have a few songs with guest vocalists. I also started doing videos for YouTube to which I'm working on the next one which will feature a new guitar from a new company to which is endorsing me now. In the next video, I will include 3 solos sections from tunes that may possibly end up on my solo album.
I am more energized than every and putting my heart and soul into my music now. Looking forward to bigger gigs with Damage Inc and also my solo album which will be plentiful with material as I have 18 years of riffs and ideas to use.
