Mashing together the sounds of dubstep, grime, house, and other flavors of underground dance, production duo the Count & Sinden conquered U.K. dancefloors in 2008 with their infectious single "Beeper." Both triple threats in their own right -- producing, DJing, and remixing -- London residents Joshua "The Count of Monte Cristal" Harvey and Graeme Sinden came together in 2006 for the electro track "Tamborzuda." A year later they released the more house sounding cut "Everybody Rocking," but in 2008 they fully embraced grime, hooked up with Chicago rapper Kid Sister, and released "Beeper" on the Domino label. An instant hit, remixes from the likes of A-Trak, Jonny L, the Qemists, Sunship, plus plenty of bootleggers followed, all helping to lift the track to the number one spot on the U.K. Dance Singles chart. That same year, they got the fever for the exploding "B'more" sound and brought Baltimore vocalist and M.I.A. collaborator Rye Rye aboard for their "Hardcore Girls" single. ~ David Jeffries
