The band released its first EP called "Stronger than Lust" in 2006, containing three songs ("Stronger than Lust", "Empty Embrace" and "Morphine"). After two of the former members having to leave the band, in 2010 the band was revitalized by founder Andrei Calmuc (guitars/vocals) along with new guitar player Armand Niculescu and new drummer Septimiu Hărșan as a much more brutal and complex sounding project, definitely becoming one of the heaviest Romanian acts to date. Since then, Code Red shared the stage with bands such as Sinister, Mastic Scum and Malevolent Creation and took part in various festivals such as OST 2012 (Romania) or The Next Generation Rock 2011 (Bulgaria). In 2012, the band recorded the single "Way of Nibiru" as a preview of what is to come on the band's first full-length studio material, which is due to be released later in 2013. A re-recorded version of the song will be heard on the band's upcoming album as well.
