Born Caylon Newby in Lima, OH,December 28, 1979.
Since the age of six, entertainer C-Nube has resided in Syracuse, NY. In 2002 Nube discovered his lyrical talents when he began writingmusic. At that time he was not sure if music was truly his path but with a leap of faith and strong backing from his late aunt, Nube found his calling.
C-Nube has created a space in this ever so populated entertainment world with his positive messages. As an independent artist Nube has collaborated with DJ's, Producers and Artists across the Mid-West and Eastern regions.
He has worked with artists such as Ohio's own Hodgie Street, Syracuse's own Taj Mahal, Seth Marcel andWorld B Free. With time spent in Hartford, CT, he had the opportunity to work with Paper Boys as well.
He has worked with DJ's such asThe legendary DJ Juice, DJ Do It All, Syracuse's Mr. Boom (DJ BigBoy) and Hot 107.9's Jus Mic. He has also worked with DMV District's DJ GuttaMan da Beast.
Nube has worked with producers such as Atlanta based Black Nailz Ent, Italy’s Icy Productions and LA based production duo I Get Fresh Productions, who produced a majority ofNube's new album Common Sense.
More than just a song composer,C-Nube has had the fortune to write and produce a variety ofentertainment. Nube worked on the set of “Yes for Success,” a televisionprogram highlighting the achievement of the Say Yes to Education program. Nubedid voice over work as well as supplied the background music for the show. Nubeplayed a role in bringing Russel Simmons' "Hip HopSummit" to Syracuse, NY, when he worked as a Hip Hop counselor forthe School of the Arts. Nube has been featured in numerous publications acrossthe region such as 20 Below Magazine, Syracuse University's "TheDaily Orange,” Syracuse's Post Standard, Syracusehiphop.com as well asmany more.
Known as "Mr. Newby" tomany high school students in the Syracuse’s school district. While working atITC Nube directed the Drama Club, which led him to writing the musical"Make It." Nube had prior experience writing and co-directing several of his own music videos so he had no trouble producing the musical aswell.
As far as visuals go, Nube hasworked with the best of the up and coming. Nube's most recent shortfilm, "Fighting" was shot, edited and co-directed by James Domroeof 325 Productions. Others that Nube has worked with include but are notlimited to: Kirk Lasalle, Michael "Doowittle" Widger and Silver GlobeProductions.
Performing all over his region,some of Nube's performances include opening up for SyracuseUniversity's Schine Student Center, Juelz Santana, The Jonas Brothers, Ginuwine and Hodgie Street. He also opened up at The Funk Master Flex Car Show inOcean City, Maryland with DJ Juice, The Cincinati Square Fest and atthe Ohio10 Fest in Athens, Ohio.
