Los Angeles-based Norteño group Clave Norteña was formed in 1994 by Alexander Arellano, Francisco Diaz, Gustavo Arellano and Alvaro Diaz, all natives of Guadalajara, Mexico.
Signing to the Luna Music Corporation in 1996, the quartet debuted with Contigo, scoring hits with "La Incondicional" and the title cut. Returning in 1997 with Corridos, Clave Norteña issued their third album Busca un Confidente two years later. Cuatro Deseos and Puros Corridos both followed in the 2000. ~ Jason Ankeny
