Cindy Capener has been teaching for 23 years and has worked with some of the countries top instructors including: Barry Kyle, Roger Lee, Marty Kudelka, Lyndette Bader Galen, Kirt and Linda Hathaway, Suzan Taylor and Samantha Camarillo.
Her extensive years of training in fields of Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Contemporary, has made her a sought after instructor in the Texas area.She has choreographed award winning routines for national talent competitions including StarPower, Stage One, Encore, Creation Dance Championship, Show Stoppers, Tremaine & Dance Showcase USA. Cindy has worked with talent competitions as a judge.
Cindy has choreographed and performed for The Move To Groove Ball (a spin off of The Carnival in L.A.), Go Pro Industrial, Kids for Kids, Destination Imagination at Sky Ranch, Relay for Life, several Arts & Jazz Festivals, City events for numerous Texas towns, St. Vincent’s Summer Fling and Annual Corporate Christmas Banquets.
She is the owner and director of House of Funk Dance Studio. She has also been the creative director of House of Funk Theatre Company since 2006.
Her background also includes Residential Property Management, Graphic Design & Sales, Sole Proprietor Printing & Promotional Products company.
Many of Cindy's students have went on to pursue careers in dance, from dancing in ballet and hip hop companies, to even owning their own studios.
