Burn the Iris was founded in 2007 andreleased their self titled EP that same year. In 2010, their second EP‘Sovereign’ was released and was received by media as: "tight as hell, various as a roller-coaster"(Fret) and claiming they “...mercilessly pound with aggression, tempo changesand some truly epic moments” (Terrorizer). These releases led to playing showswith Devildriver (US), Severe Torture, Izah, Mourn, and Diablo Swing Orchestra(SWE) amongst others.

Now the band has reinvented itself withhelp of the new vocalist Jack Elbers. The bandinitiated the creation of aggressive, catchy grooves and became a new and morefocused band; Burn the Iris 2.0.

After a breakfrom playing shows, the band wrote the new EP ‘Ionopshere’ and together with Tomsterprojectstudios theyrecorded this new material. Expect some heavy low tuned riffs and fast paceddrum patterns, with vocals from death grinding growls to clean melody lines!

Expect the EP ‘Ionosphere’ to be releasedin 2015 and make sure to be ready to be blown into the spheres of our earth!
