In March 2008, Burden My Surrender was formed by two friends from Tioga County, PA.
The band quickly expanded into a five piece group. The group's sound is an energetic blend of pop and rock twisted with the aggressiveness of metal and the attitude of punk. It spotlights unyielding female vocals, tight melodic guitars, booming bass and hard-hitting percussion. This combined with the band's kinetic live performance continually attracts listeners of many genres. In July, 2011, Burden My Surrender was selected, from over 20,000 participants of the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands for Warped Tour, winning them a spot on the Darien Lake, NY stop of the tour. Days prior to the Warped Tour show and after, they were featured in press releases on roadrunnerrecords.com, bravewords.com, puregrainaudio.com, and ultimatemetal.com.
In July 2012 the group was once again selected as Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands winner, performing at Warped Tour in Scranton, PA. The recognition after winning both years has giving the band the opportunity to play with National acts such as; A Skylit Drive, There for Tomorrow, Terrible Things, Transit, Motionless in White, Born of Osiris, iwrestledabearonce, Egypt Central, Art of Dying, Candlelight Red, Fozzy, Enter Shikari, letlive, and Falling in Reverse. The opportunities continue to arise and we are incredibly grateful for them.
Some of the group's catchiest originals off their self-titled, 2009 EP include such titles as "Rip and Tear" and "For What It's Worth". The second album, "Channels" was released on March 9, 2013. With heavy, energetic, crowd pleasing hits like, One to Blame, Empty Rooms, and Imagine Agony. This album has been highly recommended and embraced by our fans.
