Nowadays originality, topics and concepts, lyrical content and skills are almost non-existent. BornWize, from Hartford, Conn., is determined to resurrect the culture he has been involved with since childhood.

BornWize is an acroynym for: Being Oneself Regardless Of Negativity & Wisdom Iz Everything. According to Wize, his rap name is a dedication to the artform and the legends that inspired him. Deeply and strongly influenced by the early-80s to mid-90s of hip-hop/rap, Wize has witnessed the evolution of hip-hop and rap – and has been supporting it ever since. BornWize, also known as Wize, wants to bring lyrical content, poetic depth, vocabulary and complex wordplay back into the ears of true hip-hop and rap fans.

Introduced to this genre of music by his cousin, now mentor, Nightmare Da Apocalypse, who is CEO of Select Few Entertainment (T.S.F.) and his close friend, mentor/producer Supreme, BornWize’s passion became his motivation to pursue music as a profession. Under Nightmare’s guidance, Wize has become well-known in certain circles in Hartford, the city he was born and raised in – and even throughout the state of Connecticut.

Instead of signing to another indie label, BornWize decided to prefect his style and craft until rapping became second nature – a natural routine. It wasn’t long before the faithful apprentice became a mentor. BornWize became a mentor and helped his best friend, Jaylin Christ, known as Jay Realz form a record label. Jay Realz is the leader of the Family of Justice (F.O.J) with BornWize second in command – or the underboss.

Now with a mind full of rhymes, notebooks filled with verses and numerous recorded tracks, BornWize has his plans set on showing the world his talent and gift. BornWize also future plans to create his own movement: Corrupt Mindz, Inc.
