After playing in a number of different bands throughout the Turku, Finland, area, the lineup of Jaakko Söderström (guitar/vocals), Mikko Lappalainen (drums), Vesa Salonen (bass/vocals), Mikko Närvä (guitar), and Panu Jaakkola (guitar) eventually settled with Ben's Diaper in 1996.
With the intention of just wanting to write a number of pop gems without any gimmickry, the band's use of melodic power pop and unique tri-guitar technique would be eventually captured on their 1998 debut single "Warriorette" b/w "Frankfurt Am Main." Released through Popatak Records, the band continued to build up their discography with their 1999 single Las Vegas and their first full-length, Celebrate the Cliché, the following year. ~ Mike DaRonco
