Grew up in an apartment with a piano and singing parents, in the center of Copenhagen - the capital of Denmark.
A father with a great impro-talent and musical feeling. The recordplayer would play Beatles, Billy Joel, EW&F, George Duke, Gino Vannelli, Miles Davis' Birth Of The Cool, Huey Lewis...
He also made a mix-tape with jazz-classics including Miles Davis, Bix Beiderbecke, Duke Ellingtons 'Blue Serge', Slam Stewart+Don Byas, Coleman Hawkins, Errol Garner, Art Tatum and many others.... JUST BEAUTIFUL MUSIC for the heart and soul!!
Graduated as a pianist and musicteacher from The Rhytmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen in 2006. I've been working in the musicbusiness ever since.
Apart from playing and working with my music (BAUN originals + arrangements/ interpretations of soul, pop and jazz classics) I've been working as a pianist and singer with G-rough feat Tomas Thordarsson, Hr. Skæg Band, Acoustic Lounge and many others.
For 10 years I've been singing and touring with Touché, a danish jazz vocalgroup. www.touchejazz.dk
// PIANO: Got my first piano lessons when I was 9 years old. Gutten Bach was my first teacher - a very special man and a very inspiring teacher. I learned to play mostly by looking at my teachers hands on keys and by listening. Beatlessongs, Jazzclassics, my teachers bluesy pieces, a turkish folklore, an Airto-song in 7/4 etc... I remember the day I learned how to play a C7#9-chord. A new and spicy sound! And one day by the piano at a friends house: I was jammin' a blues by myself and tried different things out in the right hand - and for the first time, I had the experience of improvising - what a feeling! //
