It was at the age of 14, that Bas made his debute as a DJ in a small village in the Province of Zeeland, The Netherlands.
When he moved in 1979 to the city of Flushing (Vlissingen) it started all to pay off. He played in various discotheques in is home town of Flushing. Later on he started also to play on air on various radio stations, which were illegal at that time. In 1982, he moved to Belgium, and became a resident on Radio Saturnus, which also owned a discoteque in the city of Maldegem. He had with some friends a nightshow on the radio, while sunday afternoons were to host the public in the discoteque. After this event, Bas went back to his province, were he became resident of discoteque "De Hooizolder" for 2 years. Meanwhile, Bas was studying, and graduated. He started to work in a complete different environment, so the DJ job could not be combined with this work, and he had to let go. From the year 2002, Bas started visiting Clubs around Holland, being one of the crowd. One Club in particular, was his favourite, called Club Revolution in Rotterdam. This place was owned by Peter Gelderblom (Waiting 4) and his wife Helen. This tickled his DJ aspirations again. Peter and Helen gave Bas the opportunity to perform in their Club. Residents at that time were René Amesz, Baggi Begovic, Louis Fortes, Aad Mouthaan and Peter Gelderblom himself. Many great names passed by in this place as well, like DJ Chus, Wally Lopez, Richie Santana, Erick-E, and many others, which would make the list too long to mention. In December 2008, Bas his first official track was released on Fusion Recordings, after he had won a remix contest with the track: Jón Georgsson ft Lady Cherry - All the way (Bas Loubert's Tribal Tech mix), which is available on Beatport. No one knows what the future will bring, but Bas is definitivly trying to make a fine contribution to House Music with his performances and productions.
