Baset Alhassi, a Libyan artist born in the City of Benghazi on May 21st 1967.
His career started at a very young age and started to practice as an amateur, he knew the brothers “Hisham and Omar Almenafi”, then eventually became keen of the masterpieces of world music and singing techniques.

The trio performed together the songs of Bob Dylan and Paul Simon. The success of Ahmed Fakroun who was a great upcoming artist, encouraged Baset Alhassi to pursue his dreams and walk the road of success.

Baset learned how to play Guitar And Ukulele at first and became professional with the help and encouragement of the brothers Hisham and Omar. In 1990, he migrated to Switzerland to pursue his dreams of promoting his name and art to the world.

During 4 years he performed his own songs in clubs and restaurants, he also reperformed songs of Cat Stevens.In 1994,he moved to Germany and settled in the City of Frankfurt where he founded his own business.

In Frankfurt, Baset managed to release 3 great albums which are entitled “Forsan”,”Ya lil wa ya Gomar”,“Man Gal” and in Paris the latest album “Geraht Algareh” in which he collaborated with poets “Sulayman Al-idrissi”and “Ahmed Al Ubaydi”and “Ali Elabar”.
