Valve Trombonist Barry Mosley Keeping the Legacy of Jazz Valve Trombone
Brief History

Barry is one of the few Jazz trombonist to make the valve trombone his instrument of choice. He has found his original voice on this unique instrument while having been inspired by valve trombone masters such as Bob Brookmeyer, Rob McConnell, and Juan Tizol.

As a young valve trombonist, Barry was invited by CHET BAKER to perform with him several times in the mid 1980's, and Chet's melodic style left a strong impression on his playing. He also has been inspired by the early works of Miles Davis and the legendary Louis Armstrong.
