Originally from northern Italy, Barbara D'Alessio studied drums under the direction of several teachers, among which Ellade Bandini, Enzo Zirilli, Giorgio Zanier, Corrado Sezzi.
She continued her studies at Drum Fantasy Camp 2011 -Cleveland-, with Steve Smith, Peter Erskine, Dave Weckl and then with Gavin Harrison, Chris Coleman, Stephen Keogh, Skip Hadden. She played in Batterika 2012 in Rome, introducing a drum duo. Analogous performance has happened in Genova, at DrumLadiesFest.

At Lucchini's Day in Millan she introduced and recorded under the direction of M°Mario Rusca Big Band an unpolished passage called "Cold Clima".

Several italian jazz Festival, like Piacenza jazz (as a musician and coordinator of group performer to Piacenza jazz Note di Donna) Lucca jazz, Certaldo jazz (Global Music Foundation), Woma jazz, Biella jazz, Moncalieri jazz, Sestri jazz, jazz&Wine jazz festival.

From 2008 she's collaborating with a female jazz band "Nu-Drop"; she recorded a cd with Music Center -Lissone-

She held a workshop with the theme "the funk, his application in formation trio" and a workshop about improvisation and interplay in the trio jazz.

Different collaborations in jazz circle and fusion with international artist among with Hilaria Kramer, Luciano Milanese, Gianni Basso, Scott Hamilton, Aisha Ruggieri, Sandro Gibellini, Pippo Matino, Carol Sudhalter, Bob Callero, Aldo Zunino, Daphna Sadeh, Arnies Somogy, Chris Weisendarger and others.
