Composed of a trio from Silicone Valley in California, Atomic Mint has a solidly crafted foundation that is both entertaining and creative.
Dynamic frontwoman Brianna Wanlass provides broad-range vocals plus guitar, in addition to writing all the lyrics; Wanlass, along with Dave Hermocillo (bass) and Amadeo Donofrio (percussion), writes the music. In addition, all express their creative sides in painting, drawing, sculpturing, and photography. This creative combination of talents results in a blended outpouring of rap, electro-funk, blues, jazz, and indie rock that is irreverent and morose, yet boldly melodic and distinctive.

Atomic Mint cut their first demo record in 1999 and in July 2001, they released a debut full-length album, A Better Mouse Trap. Although the well-received album focuses more on Wanlass's voice and singing talents, and less on the full sound of the band, in November 2001, Misha Guiffre (formerly of Manic Notion) joined on, adding still another layer of freshness and originality. ~ Eleanor Ditzel
