Originallyreleased in 1975 by the obscure New Promotions label in a alledged tinypressing of 100 copies the album has reached "monster" status betweendie-hard collectors worldwide, sometimes reaching the 1500€ tag.

An incredible progressive tour de force,the album combined the typical classical leanings, fierce guitar leads and darkkeys all over in the best european tradition of the era (think italian prog).

Another rarity which finally reaches awider audience thanks to Wah Wah in a well presented reissue that is completedby two bonus tracks plus a 7" including two more extra tracks all takenfrom contemporany sessions (actually same month as the album recordings) whichshow the band delve into Pink Floyd-territory circa More/Ummagumma (thinkCareful With That Axe, Eugene and you’ll be pretty close).

Frecuentemente considerado como uno de los álbumes capitales del rock progresivo español,"The Beginning Of The End" (El Principio Del Fin) supone también el debut discográfico de Atila, trio gerundense formado en 1973 por Eduardo Niebla–guitarra- Joan Punyet –batería- y Francisco Ortega –teclados-. Editado originalmente en 1975 por el diminuto sello New Promotions en una tirada muy limitada (según se dice de poco más de mil ejemplares), el álbum se ha convertido a través de los años en pieza cotizadísima en el mercado coleccionista internacional.

No en vano se trata de un magnífico ejemplo del género, un trabajo que combina influencias clásicas conferoces ataques de guitarra y majestuosos teclados en la línea de los mejores grupos europeos de la época. Un disco inencontrable que ve nuevamente la luz gracias a Wah Wah en otra de sus cuidadas reediciones y que incluye el atractivo añadido de presentar dos temas extras además de un single con sendos temas inéditos, todos ellos grabados al mismo tiempo que el álbum y que nos muestran al grupo en un estilo cercano a los Pink Floyd de More/Ummagumma…

INTENCIÓN, the sensational second LPrecorded by Atila, has never fetched the high amounts their debut album THEBEGINNING OF THE END (Wah Wah LPS022) does exchange hands for in thecollectors' market, but it is still a mega rare LP hardly seen below the 400euros tag, and is considered by many to be better than their previous output.At the time of recording this album, the band was already considered one of thetop stage acts from Spain, which led to their signing for the BASF label, wherethey were had access to a better production, which not only resulted in abetter sound but also in a much more visually attractive full colour gatefoldsleeve, which the Wah Wah reissue will reproduce to perfection and outgrade toa gorgeous 16 page booklet full of info on the band.

Originally issued in 1976, INTENCIÓN is theperfect follow-up to THE BEGINNING OF THE END, with Atila offering furtherpieces led by the strong guitar licks of Eduardo Niebla, Benet Nogué's organ& Moog, and Joan Punyet's drums melting in top progressive freakouts, plusthe addition of wordless vocal parts and even some catalan sung parts, besidesadding a symphonic edge to the general sound. Side A offers three killer tracksin that vein, while B side is a new recording of the bands' signature theme ELPRINCIPIO DEL FIN, with updated overtones, Moog passages and a much betterrecorded sound than the one appearing on their debut LP.

In addition to the original"Intención" LP this CD edition will feature one bonus track recordedback in 1999, the year of the band's first come back after they disbanded inthe late seventies.

The Wah Wah release comes with remasteredsound worked from the original master tapes, as usual marvelously treated bysound wizard Denis Blackham @ SkyMastering.

INTENCIÓN, el fantástico segundo LP grabado por Atila nunca ha alcanzado las sumas que se pagan por supredecesor EL PRINCIPIO DEL FIN, pero raramente se ve por debajo de los 400 euros y para muchos es mejor que su primer LP. A la hora de realizar esta grabación el grupo dispuso de mejores medios, tanto a nivel de producción de sonido como a la hora de enfundar el disco en una preciosa portada doble a todocolor que la reedición de Wah Wah reproducirá a la perfección y mejora con la inclusión de un libreto de 16 páginas lleno de información de la banda.

Originalmente editado en 1976 en el sello BASF, INTENCIÓN ofrece más desarollos progresivos conducidos por la fabulosa guitarra de Eduardo Niebla, el órgano y Moog de Benet Nogué y la batería de Joan Punyet, con algunos pasajes a los que añaden coros vocales, y dándole a la mezcla un toque sinfónico. La cara A presenta tres nuevas composiciones de la banda, mientras en la B una nueva versión del tema estrella del grupo, EL PRINCIPIO DEL FIN, hace las delicias de propios y extraños con un sonido mejorado respecto a la versión de su álbum de debut.

La presente edición en CD, añade los temas del LP original un bonus track grabado en 1999, año en el quela banda -aún en activo actualmente- decidió reunirse por primera vez desde su separación a finales de los setenta.
