Die unterschiedlichsten Einflüsse und Geschichten dieser 5-köpfigen Truppe aus dem oberösterreichischen Wels vereinen sich gekonnt zu einer doch überaus melodischen Eigeninterpretation des klassischen Death Metal.

Einen Teil dieser geballten Power und Ideen für ihre Texte beziehen die Jungs aus der Kraft sich auszudrücken und abzureagieren, was sich auch zweifellos in der ungebremsten Motivation wiederspiegelt.

ATHIRIA wurde 2011 gegründet und 2014 folgte das erste Album “Capital Punishment”, welches die Band noch in Eigenregie aufgenommen hat.

2015 legten sie mit neuem Bassisten an Board und dem zweiten Album “Vicious Circle” nach und sorgten damit für Furore (Recorded and mixed by Farmhouse Records, mastered by Towerstudio)

Spätestens wenn man sie neben internationalen Größen wie Cannibal Corpse, Aborted, Suffocation oder Benighted auf der Bühne antrifft, hat man den Beweis, dass sich die harte Arbeit im Proberaum auf alle Fälle bezahlt macht.

“Dämonische Klänge” mag abgedroschen klingen, jedoch ist dies das Erste was einem einfällt, wenn man ATHIRIA zum ersten Mal Live erlebt. Während der Sänger regelrechte Exorzismen an sich vollführt, die er dem Publikum gesanglich zu Füßen legt und man Instrumental weggeblasen wird, weiß man sofort um die Professionalität der Auftritte.
