Ashish Bhalla completed his architectureeducation at Sir J. J. College of Architecture in Mumbai, India and ColumbiaGSAPP - Columbia University in the United States. He is a recipient ofRe-Thinking Future Sustainability Award 2008 and Young Designer of the Year2008 by IA&B Forum.

Being born and raised in a diverse,multi-cultural environment, Ashish Bhalla’s work and thinking has also evolvedaround the contemporary cultural juxtaposition within architecture and design.Ashish Bhalla believes in nature as a source of inspiration andcross-disciplinary design dialogues for holistic and ecological sustainability.Ashish Bhalla became a licensed architect in the United States and has over tenyears of diverse work experience across India, Malaysia and the United States.Ashish is also a U.S. Green Building Council LEED® Accredited Professional.

Based in New York, Ashish Bhalla is currentlypracticing as a Registered Architect: New York at world-renowned architectureand design firm Foster + Partners. He previously worked at Sutherland HusseyArchitects in Edinburgh, Arkitek Inasreka in Kuala Lumpur and HKS Inc in NewDelhi.

When he isn’t working, Ashish Bhalla enjoyscooking gourmet Indian food, bicycle around forest parks, traveling unexploredexperiences. He loves to share different design thoughts and observations onarchitecture and is a recurring contributor on major magazines
