The new trailer for Ang Lee’s latest film has Will Smith seeing double.

Gemini Man‘s first trailer sees the Oscar-winning Life of Pi filmmaker setting the Hollywood superstar loose in an effects-driven spectacle that follows an aging assassin (Smith) fighting an unseen enemy he later discovers is a younger version of himself.

“Twenty-five years ago, they made you from me!” Smith says to his cloned counterpart, sent to kill him by the very agency that employs both men. “They chose me because there’s never been anybody like me. We have to end this right now!”

In line with Lee’s penchant for pushing the boundaries of movie technologically (recently, his 2016 film Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk was the first film to be shot at 120 frames-per-second), Gemini Man used complex digital effects to de-age its 50-year-old star by nearly three decades.

“I’m 50 years old now, and I don’t know that I would have had the experience to play a 23-year-old me [earlier in my career],” Smith said via pre-recorded message at April’s CinemaCon event, per Variety, while Lee added: “If you’re a director and you get to work with Will Smith, you should consider yourself lucky — and thanks to new technology, I get two.”

Gemini Man has reportedly been in development since 1997, when Walt Disney Studios purchased the concept, with the late Tony Scott (Enemy of the State) attached to direct.
