Want some magic on our feet?
Vans has confirmed that a Harry Potter collaboration is on the way, after sharing a cryptic post on social media.
On Monday (April 22), the footwear giant teased a “magical collaboration” with the Wizarding World – marking the first time that the two brands have worked together.
“Something magical coming soon: vans.com/harrypotter,” they wrote across Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
When fans visit the website, a message reads: “Vans and HARRY POTTER collaborated to conjure up a magical collection of footwear, apparel, and accessories for witches, wizards, and muggles alike.”
While little information beyond the initial posts has emerged, the website shows four patterns representing the four houses of Hogwarts – complete with their mascots.
With that in mind, we’re expecting designs that are inevitably themed around the different colors of Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.
Vans’ latest collaboration with a cultural giant comes after they unveiled their David Bowie collection earlier this month.
Among the special edition shoes released was the ‘Slip-On 47 VDX’ which pays tribute to Bowie’s 1971 album, ‘Hunky Dory’. The ‘Sk8-Hi’ LAO has a design paying homage to Bowie’s ‘Ziggy Stardust’ era thanks to a lightning stripe on the side panel of the sneakers.
Earlier this year, rock titans Led Zeppelin also announced a new collaboration with Vans as part of their 50th anniversary celebrations.
