They have a very busy 2019.
The Cure have announced four live shows at the Sydney Opera House in May to mark the 30th anniversary of their classic album, ‘Disintegration’.
The legendary post-punkers will play the 1989 album in full live for the first time, with its world premiere at the iconic Australian arts venue.

‘Disintegration’ features some of the band’s best-known material including ‘Lovesong’, ‘Pictures Of You’, and ‘Lullaby’.
Vivid LIVE is hosting the British band on May 24, 25, 27, 28 2019 for the exclusive performances.
The Sydney Opera House website states that it will be the “world premiere of these 30th anniversary performances”, meaning that The Cure look set to perform other anniversary events elsewhere.
Tickets are offered via a ballot on the Sydney Opera House website with successful customers able to buy tickets next Thursday (February 28).
In December last year, Cure frontman Robert Smith confirmed that the goth icons are about to finish their first album in a decade.
After previously revealing that the band were working on new material, Smith said that the honour of being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame had inspired them to finish their first record since 2008’s ‘4: 13 Dream.’
The Cure are playing dozens of festivals this year. Take a look at the full list here.
