Hardy also hangs out on set with Run The Jewels' El-P
Tom Hardy has shared new on-set photos from the filming of his upcoming movie Fonzo, which sees the star portray notorious mobster Al Capone.
The biopic, directed by Chronicle‘s Josh Trank, follows the last days of Capone’s life as he suffers from dementia and “his past becomes present as harrowing memories of his violent and brutal origins melt into his waking life”.
After sharing a sneak-peak of himself as Capone in March, Hardy has now posted more photos to Instagram, which show the true extent of the dramatic transformation.
“Mega awkward character misstep,” Hardy writes in the caption of one photo. See beneath.
Hardy has also shared a photo of himself on set with Run The Jewels‘ El-P. NME has reached out to El-P for more info on that.
Earlier this year, Hardy’s 1999 mixtape surfaced online after it was uploaded to Bandcamp by DJ Eddie Too Tall, who collaborated with Hardy on the tape.
A note on the webpage hosting the songs reads: “Made in a bedroom 1999 these mixtapes were never really finished. Lyrics written and performed by Tom Hardy. Music written and produced by Ed Tracy.”
