Put on your Ray Bans and boat shoes: Miami Vice may be coming back.

EW has learned a reboot of the popular ’80s police procedural is currently in development at NBC with Vin Diesel at the helm. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor is teaming up with his Fast and the Furious collaborator Chris Morgan; both will executive-produce alongside Ainsley Davis and Wayward Pines’ Shana Waterman, while The Mist‘s Peter Macmanus will write the script.

Miami Vice originally aired for five seasons on NBC from 1984 to 1989. It starred Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas as two undercover detectives. In 2006, series executive producer Michael Mann wrote, directed, and produced a spin-off movie of the same name that featured Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell in the main roles.

Diesel has previously served as a producer on a number of films including multiple Fast and the Furious movies, the xXx series, and Riddick.
