The wait for a new Jennifer Lawrence movie is now a month shorter.
Mother!, originally scheduled to hit theaters this Oct. 13, will now arrive nearly a month earlier on Sep. 15. Director and screenwriter Darren Aronofsky (Noah) confirmed the change on Twitter and announced the first teaser will accompany select screenings of Dunkirk beginning this weekend.
The film also stars Javier Bardem, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Ed Harris, while the story is described as a psychological thriller. mother! centers on a couple whose relationship is tested by a group of unexpected guests arriving at their home.
The first poster, released in May, was designed by James Jean — the same artist who inked the one-sheet for Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water — and it’s a heart-wrenching image in the truest sense.
