The fourth episode of Kingdom‘s third and final season ended with a shock when Keith showed up with blood on his hands

The fourth episode of Kingdom‘s third and final season ended with a shock when Keith showed up with blood on his hands… and it wasn’t his own. But in this week’s episode, it’s Ryan who finds himself a little bloodied (and not in typical fighter fashion).

EW has an exclusive look at the hour, which sees Ryan and Dom growing closer, Christina and Alvey finally getting some face time, and Ryan with blood on his hands. Did he help Keith? Did he get into a fight? It’s hard to say, but as Kingdom showrunner Byron Balasco told EW earlier in the season, Ryan could find himself returning to his old ways. “You start getting this creeping notion that he’s going back to who he was before we met him in the pilot, the guy who put his dad in the chair,” Balasco said. “You start seeing him slowly being pulled down that path, as is his default setting when he can’t handle success and can’t trust anybody and doesn’t know where he fits into the world.”

Let’s just hope Ryan doesn’t go down the exact same path, because that one put him behind bars.

Kingdom airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on DirecTV and DirecTV NOW.
