These tunes are the country star's best music so far.

To celebrate Chris Stapleton releasing, From A Room: Volume 1, we decided to celebrate by pulling together his best work so far. So grab some sipping whiskey and prepare to listen to some mighty fine country music.

Traveller

Traveller was Chris Stapleton’s first studio album since going solo. It was named Album of the Year in the 2015 Country Music Association Awards as well as getting a Grammy award for Best Country Album, and a nomination for album of the year.

The album reached the top spot in the US Billboard 200 (thanks in part to a duet with Justin Timberlake at the CMA awards) and sold 1.9 million copies, reaching double platinum status. We’ve picked out a few of the best tracks from it for you to enjoy.

Tennessee Whiskey

Arguably Stapleton’s biggest solo hit so far, Tennessee Whiskey was originally written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove for David Allan Coe. It was a reasonable hit for David Allan Coe getting to 77 in the U.S. Billboard Hot Country singles, but Stapleton managed to get the top slot when he covered it in 2015. The single eventually went platinum in the States selling over 1,124,000 copies.

Fire Away

Fire Away was co-written with Danny Green, from the studio album Traveller. The video for the song was used to raise awareness of the Campaign For Change (changedirection.org), a charity that helps people deal with mental illness. It shows a happy couple moving in together and how mental illness affected their relationship. It’s heartbreaking.

Parachute

Parachute is the fourth song on Chris Stapleton’s debut studio Traveller album. It was co-written with Jim Beavers and reached 78 in the US Billboard Hot 100.

Whiskey and You

A sad song dealing with relationships and addiction that’s resonated with a lot of people - just have a look at the YouTube comments. It was co-written with Lee Thomas Miller. The acoustic version is also worth a listen if you have the time.

From A Room: Volume 1

Released on the 5th May, this is Stapleton’s second studio album and the first of two albums that he has promised to release in 2017. The tracks Broken Halos and a cover of Willie Nelson’s Last Thing I Needed, First Thing This Morning were released ahead of the album as promotional singles.

Chris on Tour, His Best Moments

Chris Stapleton is currently on tour you can find details here - http://www.chrisstapleton.com/
The video above is a tribute to Prince, performed in December 2016. We’ve shared it because it’s a rarity. A cover of Nothing Compares To You. The camera work on the video is pretty bad but it’s such a great version of a classic Prince song it’s worth putting up with.

Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake

Timberlake and Stapleton performed a duet of Tennessee Whiskey at the 2015 Country Music Association Awards. It’s a lovely performance of the classic country sound, Timberlake has dabbled with country a few times (including with Garth Brooks) but we think this is his best effort.

Wife, Family Life and Net Worth

Chris Stapleton is married to Morgan Hayes. Haynes is also a singer-songwriter and co-wrote Don’t Forgot To Remember Me, a hit for Carrie Underwood in 2006. Stapleton and Haynes met in Nashville when they both worked at companies that had offices near each other. Stapleton asked her to write a song with him and they ended up dating, they have two children together.

Stapleton is estimated to be worth over a million dollars, but we expect that number to go up with the release of his new album, From A Room: Volume 1.
