Michael Bay is throwing in the Transformer's towel after 10 years. Don't miss his last explosive hurrah.
Do you like bangs? Good. Do you like loud bangs? Even better. Films without any discernible logic? Marvellous, you’re in the right place. Grab yourself a glass of water and sit down. Because the latest in the Transformers franchise is out this year. Can you believe it people!? I know I can’t… They’re still going. This one is called Transformers: The Last Knight. It gets a theatrical release on June 21 2017.
But beauty is found in the most unexpected places. And this film might, might just be that place. At risk of stating the bleeding obvious; it’s a balls to the wall romp with our favorite ferrous friends.
It’s easy to laugh and sneer at these Michael Bay directed films. The last one, Transformers: Age of Extinction did rate at 18% on Rotten Tomatoes. But that only tells part of the story. What of the other side? The fact that the last two both grossed over $1 billion globally? I’ll leave you to figure out who got the last laugh there.
Transformers: The Last Knight Cast
The cast isn’t half bad. Probably something to do with the jaw dropping wedges of cash they're playing with.
We got Marky Mark himself, the one and only Mark Wahlberg. He is reprising his role of Cade Yeager, which was debuted in the preceding film, Age of Extinction.
We’ve also got Sir Anthony Hopkins no less. Who plays Sir Edmund Burton a historian with a deep understanding of the Transformers’ importance to earth. A Reddit user beautifully summed up his involvement in this film thusly:
That big television finale is of course Westworld, the HBO sci-fi Western smash hit.
Josh Duhamel is also going to be reprising his role as General William Lennox.
John Goodman is the voice of Hound, an Autobot commando.
What can we hope for from a Transformers: The Last Knight Trailer?
Can you guess? Spot on. There’s explosions aplenty.

You watched those trailers, right? Any the wiser? Well Michael Bay has indicated that this will be his last Transformers film, there is no more Optimus Prime and the below plot synopsis was posted to the franchise's Facebook page:
