Comfort, creativity and convenience were three keys to what made the clothing of nu metal so great.
Super Baggy Jeans
No one can argue about the comfort factor here. Sure, you’d trip over your own jeans, sometimes quite often, but an inseam that went down to your knees felt like freedom, and with pockets so large they could fit everything you could possibly want to carry, including multiple family members, super baggy jeans were the ultimate carry-all.
Recently, the legendary baggy jeans company JNCO relaunched. This is a comeback that needs to happen.
Tracksuits
Nu metal icons Korn became synonymous with tracksuits.
Due in large part to frontman Jonathan Davis’ love of old school hip-hop, you’d always see him rockin’ Adidas tracksuits in videos, photo shoots, and while performing at shows … that is, until Puma swooped in and gave the band an endorsement deal.
Of course, it was just a change in brand, Davis still track suited up!
