He opens up about his 'Knocked Up' co-star's comments regarding the film.
Katherine Heigel sparked some controversy when she revealed she wasn't happy with how Knocked Up turned out despite it being a box office hit. Although it's been a few years, Seth Rogen has finally opened up about the situation.
"I was never that mad, honestly," he told Howard Stern on his SiriusXM show. "I assumed she didn't want to work with us anymore honestly, because she seemed to not like the result of the work we did together."
While he realized after Katherine's comments that it wasn't too great, he didn't initially think that way during filming.
"As we were making the movie, honestly I was like, 'I would make a dozen movies with her, I would be whatever the s— version of Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan is," he explained. "I thought we had a great dynamic, people seemed to like it, we were funny together – I was having a very good time."
He added, "And then when I heard afterwards that she didn't like it, that she seemed to not like the process, and she did not like the end product either. I think when that happens – also your trust feels somewhat betrayed. We have a very open process. We're like, 'You have the ability to say anything at any moment – I don't like this scene, I don't like how I’m coming across here.'"
While she did apologize for her "dumbass" comments earlier this year, Seth said he hasn't gotten a call yet. “When I apologize to people, generally I don’t take a public forum to do it,” the actor said.
