James Corden turned 38 yesterday (August 22), and although he had to come to work as host of The Late Late Show with James Corden, the actor and singer was probably glad he did because he was treated to a big surprise.

To celebrate his birthday, Montell Jordan did a surprise (and rare) performance of his hit, "This Is How We Do It," which is also James' favorite song! Not only did he get the show, Montell also surprised him with a button at his desk that will play "This Is How We Do It" whenever he wants.

"This is the greatest present I could ever have," James said with a huge smile on his face.

James also received a compiled happy birthday video featuring his parents, sisters, his favorite boy band O-Town and his favorite soccer play West Ham United's Mark Noble.
