Try not to feel lovesick after watching the LA synth rockers' newest visual.
Love works in funny ways sometimes. It’s the sort of thing that can take over and make decisions for you. Even if you're not sure that they're the right ones.
That’s certainly the case for The Eiffels' single “You Got Me,” which tells the tale of a lovesick guy chasing after the woman of his dreams. “Can’t erase you,” begins the song. “Can’t un-taste you / I can’t tear you from my mind.”
The music video, which flickers between shots of the band playing in a loft and shadowy images of the love interest in question, channels this desperate urge for an intimate connection.
“It’s a conflicted love song and an ode to the rollercoaster of emotions that come with love and infatuation,” vocalist Sean Ulbs explains to Myspace. "It’s an emotion-filled synth pop jam, for sure, and it’s done with the sheen of Passion Pit and the glam aesthetic of The Naked And Famous."
