From moving to California to making new music, we get to know this punk trio a little better.

2016 has been a busy one for Potty Mouth. Not only have they been sharing the stage with Chvrches and Beach Slang, the pop-punk band has also made a move from Massachusetts to the Sunshine State.

“I think we all love it," singer and guitarist Abby Weems tells Myspace. "We’re kind of sick of living in Massachusetts. We definitely hit the ceiling with where we are at, and our managers live in LA. And we have such a good time out there, so it just seemed to make sense. It made our lives easier.”

Bassist Ally Eindbinder agrees, “Victoria and I aren’t originally from Massachusetts. Abby grew up there in Amherst, but Victoria and I went to college there. And for me, I’d been there for almost 10 years, and Victoria, too. It’s just a really college-populated area and not really a place to build a career as a musician. The closest city was Boston, and that’s still two hours away. And LA just seemed like the best place, and why wouldn’t you want to live in a place that’s warm and sunny all the time?”

Relocation aside, Potty Mouth are looking towards recording their follow-up to 2013's Hell Bent, especially since they had the new songs in their arsenal for a while. "We have a folder of 25 unreleased songs that we’ve done over the last two and a half years," Ally reveals. "Honestly just a lot of stuff, we’ve been sitting on. So we hope to go through all that and figure out what’s going to be on the album. And hopefully we’ll have enough to also do an EP after."

Before Potty Mouth get into the studio, they will be making their debut at Lollapalooza this weekend. We caught up with the ladies before they headed to Chicago and got to Abby, Ally and Victoria Mandanas a little bit better. Find out more about Potty Mouth below.

Abby Weems

Age: 22
Instrument: I sing and play guitar.
Artist, Band or Album That Inspired You to Become a Musician: I would have to say Green Day just because the first song I learned to play was "Basket Case." And after that, I realized, "OK, I can write a song."
Favorite Song to Perform Right Now: Maybe "Cherry Picking" because that song is so upbeat, and we all just start to jump around a lot onstage. And that's really fun.
Best Show You've Seen: When I saw Veruca Salt on their reunion tour, almost two years ago, I saw them play in Boston. They're one of my favorite bands so it was really cool to see them.
Best Show You've Played: When we were on tour with Screaming Females, we played the Music Hall of Williamsburg. It was the end of the tour we did with them, and the shows are always the best at the very end, which sucks because you want it to be that good all the time. But for some reason, when you get to the last couple of shows, you start to really go all out. And that show was really fun because we played a Veruca Salt song, "Volcano Girls," with Marissa [Paternoster] from Screaming Females, and that was awesome. It was the only show I've ever done a headstand onstage.
I'm Looking Forward to Lollapalooza Because: I've never been to a big festival, so I'm just looking forward to seeing that, and I'm excited to see Grimes.

 Ally Einbinder

Age: 28
Instrument: I play bass.
Artist, Band or Album That Inspired You to Become a Musician: If had to pick one artist, I would pick Kim Gordon from Sonic Youth. I'm not actually a Sonic Youth fan, but I find her to be very inspiring because she didn't start to play bass until she was in her early 20s. And it's not often that you find examples of women who start when they're older, you know not a teenager. I started playing bass when I was 21, and I read her memoir, Girl in a Band. I just saw a lot of parallels in her experience and my experience dealing with sexism. I don't deal with any ageism because I'm older since people think I'm a lot younger than I am, but it's interesting. And also Viv Albertine from The Slits. She's another woman who didn't learn how to play guitar till she was older, and she's self-taught.
Favorite Song to Perform Right Now: A new song that we have but haven't released yet. It's called "Smash Hit." We've been playing it at our shows over the last couple of months, and I'm sure it's going to be on our album. We haven't talked about it yet, but it's the one song in our set that haven't released yet. So that's why I think I like it so much because it still feels so new.
Best Show You've Seen: One of my favorite bands of all time is this band call The Chameleons from the UK, and they just did a reunion tour last fall. And I saw them here in New York, and it was amazing because they played my favorite album, front to back. And it was pretty surreal because it came out in 1981, and I didn't think I'd get to hear it live.
Best Show You've Played: One of my favorite shows was a show we played for Rookie magazine, when they released their second yearbook. So it was almost three years ago. It was at the Bell House, and it was a room full of young girls dancing like all having fun. And it was just my ideal kind of show. If we could play for just young girls, I would be so happy.
I'm Looking Forward to Lollapalooza Because: I'm pretty excited to see Third Eye Blind. I've seen them before, and they're just fun and play the classic hits from the '90s. And they've been in the news (recently) because of trolling the Republican National Convention. So I'm excited to see them and hopefully hang out with them.

  Victoria Mandanas

Age: 26
Instrument: I play drums.
Artist, Band or Album That Inspired You to Become a Musician: I'm just going to say Good Charlotte's The Young and the Hopeless because I don't think there's one singular band that influenced me, but I've been looking back on that a lot lately. It's the first album I bought when I 12 years old.
Favorite Song to Perform Right Now: Probably "Creeper Weed."
Best Show You've Seen: Snail Mail at The Silent Barn. They were good.
Best Show You've Played: We opened for Kate Nash like two or three years ago. That was my favorite because the audience was mostly teenage girls. So it was exciting with the audience.
I'm Looking Forward to Lollapalooza Because: I'm excited to see Wolf Alice. We're going to play an after show with them [in Chicago].
