The Skrillex-produced single is off of her upcoming ninth record called 'A.I.M.'
The music video for M.I.A.'s new banger "Go Off" doesn't have any people in it — on purpose.
"I really wanted to make a video without human beings," said the English-Sri Lankan singer to BBC's Annie Mac (according to NME). "I'm sick of human beings. This is like a zoom-in shot of a grain of sand. I am not messing with human beings right now."
Instead, the video simply depicts huge explosions in various rocky landscapes. Skrillex and Blaqstarr produced the song, which features boastful lyrics like "When I was in your life fella, I was hella bomb / But I had to go off just to stay strong."
"Go Off" is a single from her upcoming album A.I.M., out on September 9. The "Paper Planes" singer said that the album, which she describes as her "cleanest" record, will be her last.
