Take a musical journey through heartbreak & acceptance with the alt rock duo's new album.

Considering rockers Of Clocks and Clouds’ all-encompassing, electro-laced sound, it’s hard to believe that the group has just two members. Joe Salgo and Ross Procaccio—both born and raised in Brooklyn—came together in 2013 to make music that would that would stand apart from the borough’s prevailing shoegaze scene.

With Better Off, the group’s psych-tinged sophomore LP streaming exclusively on Myspace (ahead of a July 15 release), Of Clocks and Clouds has definitely succeeded. The eight-track record features radio-ready alt rock jams (“Another Life,” “She Had To Go”), spacey instrumentally focused tracks (“Open Heart Failure,” “Komorebi”) and even a futuristic ‘80s ballad (the title track, “Better Off”).

"Better Off was written and recorded while each of us were going through difficult break ups,” explained the band to Myspace. “The songs are about the stages of heartbreak, grieving and ultimately acceptance.  There's a fair amount of our blood, sweat and tears on this record.  We hope you like the taste."

For those in New York City, catch Of Clocks and Clouds perform the record live at the group’s album release show at The Studio at Webster Hall on July 16. And listen to Better Off in full below.
