The track features rhymes from Missy Elliott
This isn’t your father’s Ghostbusters theme song.
For the Ghostbusters reboot, Fall Out Boy put its signature pop punk spin on the film’s classic theme song.
Eerie beats, rockin’ guitars and Patrick Stump’s intense vocals shape the new track. And there’s a cameo from none other than Missy Elliott.
"Can't sleep and I'm home alone," raps Elliott. "Nighttime, my lights on/ Whooo! got me scared/ Whooo! hidin' underneath my bed/ In my closet, down the hall I see shadows all over my wall."
The soundtrack for the film will also include songs by Elle King, G-Eazy, Jeremih, 5 Seconds of Summer, Pentatonix, Walk the Moon, Wolf Alice, and more.
Ghostbusters opens in theaters July 15. Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Chris Hemsworth star in the anticipated summer blockbuster.
