It's the first song Kesha's released since "Timber."

Last week, Kesha joined Zedd at Coachella to perform the latter's "True Colors." This wasn't a dance track, or anything like "Timber," the last song Kesha released. Instead it was a processional, where Kesha sings about refusing to apologize. They have since reunited for a studio version, which surfaced online today (April 28). This isn't much different than what they performed at Coachella, though that is fine. Kesha's voice sounds stronger than ever. Given her legal battle against Dr. Luke, that fact feels like a statement in of itself.

And just in case you're wondering how the duo got around the contract that still binds Kesha to Dr Luke's Kemosabe Records, Zedd clarified that they indeed received permission via Twitter.
