After hearing these, you'll wish those words were there all along.
Following the series finale of Downton Abbey, Jimmy Kimmel wanted to ease the withdrawal for fans of the show by bringing a new twist to the show's theme song. And what better person to sing the revised tune than Grammy, Oscar and Golden Globe winner John Legend.
Dressed in a full tuxedo complete with a white bow tie, John sits at a grand piano and starts singing lyrics like ""Mary and Edith love to fight / We dress in formal wear for dinner almost every night" and "We have a footman who is gay / He's always carrying a tray."
He also puts in a dig about the show's lack of diversity with, "Everyone we know is very white / We don't have one black friend."
While the lyrics are already hilarious, it's John's dramatic delivery that makes the performance extra special. Watch it below.
